For Anthony, tamping shouldn't be a variable; it should be a constant. His philosophy is simple: achieve maximum puck density, then adjust the grind to dial in the shot. To do this, he needed a tool that removed the physical variables of the barista's hand. He wanted the freedom to apply pressure instinctively — supported by a resistance that feels natural and linear — without ever worrying about the angle of the bed.
The design brief was demanding. He required the tactile feedback and classic ergonomics of a traditional handle, but with a mechanical guarantee of a perfect 90º vertical force. Together we designed Flow, which pairs the tactile soul of a manual tamper with a self-leveling collar. Crafted to adhere to Anthony’s signature tamping grip and technique, it offers a seamless experience for seasoned pros and a foolproof foundation for beginners.

We built Flow to solve the variables that plague even the best baristas. You choose the pressure and the depth. Flow takes care of everything else. It’s the classic feel you love, with the mechanical certainty you’ve been missing.
Flow's internal design provides outstanding stability and clear tactile feedback. By maintaining a strict 90-degree tamp, Flow enables you to concentrate on applying pressure for consistent, even extraction.

Flow introduces TIMEMORE’s first Wave Spring. Flatter and more stable than a coil spring, it compresses with a smooth, controlled resistance. Pressure stays centered as it travels from palm to puck, helping deliver a more consistent tamp every time.
Consistency is the hardest variable to manage on a busy bar. Flow eliminates the two most common errors in puck preparation — uneven tamping and variable depth — without sacrificing workflow speed.

We’ve applied a Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating to Flow base to create a gorgeous glossy surface. This aerospace-grade finish is also ultra-durable, shrugging off scratches and wear.
